Core Capabilities

Container Tracking Software That Watches Location and Cargo Condition

Where the container is, whether the door has been opened, what the temperature is, and whether it has been mishandled, all on one self-hosted platform.

Real-Time GPS Container Tracking

Know where every container is at any moment. AIQ Connect shows live GPS location on a map with full movement history from origin to destination. Get instant alerts when a container stops unexpectedly, takes an unplanned route, or sits at a port longer than it should.

  • Live GPS location for every container on a map
  • Full route history and movement replay
  • Geofencing alerts for port entry, exit and stops
  • Delay and deviation notifications in real time

Door Event Monitoring

Every time a container door opens or closes, AIQ Connect logs it with a timestamp and GPS location. If a door opens somewhere it should not, you get an alert straight away. This is the kind of data most container tracking software does not capture at all.

  • Door open and close events logged with exact time and location
  • Instant alert when a door opens outside approved zones
  • Full door activity history per container
  • Tamper detection for high-value cargo

Temperature and Humidity Monitoring

Cold chain cargo needs more than a location update. AIQ Connect monitors temperature and humidity inside the container in real time. If readings go outside your set range, you get an alert before the cargo is damaged, not when you open the doors at delivery.

  • Real-time temperature monitoring inside the container
  • Humidity level tracking throughout the journey
  • Custom alert thresholds per container or cargo type
  • Full sensor logs for compliance reporting

Shock and Vibration Monitoring

Some cargo gets damaged in transit before anyone notices. AIQ Connect logs shock and vibration events so you know if a container was dropped, hit or handled roughly. This data is useful for insurance claims and for improving how cargo is handled at each stop.

  • Shock event detection and logging with location stamp
  • Vibration monitoring throughout transit
  • Instant alerts for impact events above set thresholds
  • Full shock history per container for insurance claims

Container GPS Tracking on One Map

Every container reports its live GPS location continuously, from the first mile to final delivery. Full route history and movement replay show exactly where a container has been, and geofencing alerts fire the moment a container enters or exits a port, yard or approved zone.

  • Live GPS location for every container in the fleet
  • Geofencing alerts for ports, yards and stops
  • Delay and deviation notifications the moment they happen

Door, Temperature and Shock Alerts in One Feed

Every alert is typed and specific. A door alert tells you which container and where it opened. A shock alert tells you the container and the impact level. Your team acts on facts in minutes instead of finding out at delivery, and every alert stays attached to the container's history.

  • Alerts by app notification, SMS or email
  • Door, temperature, humidity and shock alerts in one place
  • Full alert history attached to each container

Self-Hosted AIQ Connect vs Standard Container Tracking Software

Most container tracking software gives you a dot on a map from the shipping line. Here is how that compares to sensor-level visibility on your own server.

FAQs

Container Tracking Software, Common Questions

What is container tracking software?
Container tracking software lets you monitor the location and condition of your containers during transit. Basic tools show where a container is using shipping-line data. AIQ Connect goes further by connecting to IoT sensors inside the container to give you real-time temperature, humidity, shock and door activity alongside GPS location. Everything runs on your own server with no per-container fees.
How is AIQ Connect different from other container tracking software?
Most container tracking tools pull location from shipping-line APIs. That tells you where the container is but nothing about what is happening inside. AIQ Connect connects directly to sensors fitted inside your containers, giving door event monitoring, temperature and humidity tracking, shock detection and GPS location in one platform. It runs on your own server with your branding, not a shared cloud you pay for per container.
How does temperature monitoring work in container tracking software?
IoT sensors fitted inside the container send temperature readings to your AIQ Connect server in real time. You set the acceptable range for each container or cargo type. If the temperature goes outside that range during transit, you get an instant alert so you can act before the cargo is damaged. All readings are stored as logs for compliance and insurance reporting.
What are door events and why do they matter?
A door event is any time a container door opens or closes. AIQ Connect logs every door event with an exact timestamp and GPS location. If a door opens somewhere it should not, you get an alert straight away. This matters for high-value cargo, pharmaceutical shipments and any situation where unauthorised access is a risk. Most container tracking tools do not capture this data at all.
Can my clients track their own containers?
Yes. Each client gets a branded portal where they can see the live location and condition of their containers without calling your team. GPS location, door history, temperature logs and delivery status are all shown from one screen. The portal runs under your brand and domain, so clients see your product, not AIQ Connect.
Does AIQ Connect work with any GPS or IoT sensor hardware?
AIQ Connect supports 1,000+ GPS device protocols and is compatible with a wide range of IoT sensors for temperature, humidity, shock and door monitoring. If your hardware is not on the supported list, our installation team can add support for it, and we help you choose the right sensors for your container type and cargo during setup.
