Fire Truck Tracking Software

Fire Truck Tracking Software for Fire Departments

See every engine, ladder, tanker and command car on one map, across every station. Run times are recorded automatically, so the review afterwards works from a record instead of memory. AIQ Connect runs on your own server, which matters when a public body is asked where its data is held, and the license is a one-time cost.

Fire Truck Tracking Software: Every Apparatus, Every Station, One Map

Live apparatus location, run time records, readiness and service scheduling for fire fleets, on a platform that runs on your own server.

Fire truck tracking software is software that shows where every apparatus is and keeps a time record of each run. A department runs engines, ladder trucks, tankers, brush trucks, rescue units and command cars across several stations. AIQ Connect puts them on one map. It logs when a truck left quarters, when it reached the scene and when it went back in service. It books service on real engine hours, and it runs on your own server.

Every Apparatus on One Map

A department spread over several stations rarely has one picture of the whole fleet. AIQ Connect puts every apparatus on a single map. An officer can see what is in quarters, what is out, and where the staff and command cars are.

  • Live spot for every apparatus
  • In quarters or out
  • All stations on one screen

For the review, not the call

A Time Record for Every Run

Draw a boundary around each station and each district. AIQ Connect then logs when a truck left quarters, when it reached the area, and when it came back in service. That record is built for the review afterwards, not for making decisions during the call itself.

  • Left quarters time logged
  • Arrival and return times
  • Route taken on record
  • Reports by apparatus and month

Engine Hours and Service Records

Fire trucks often run while standing still, so distance alone is a poor guide to wear. AIQ Connect logs engine hours as they happen and books service against them. Every repair stays on record against that truck.

  • Engine hours logged per truck
  • Service booked by real hours
  • Warnings before service is due
  • Repair history per apparatus

Public safety data

Your Server, Your Records

A fire service is a public body. Public bodies get asked where their data is held. On a cloud platform the honest answer involves a vendor. AIQ Connect runs on your own server, so the answer is short and the history stays as long as your own rules say.

  • Data held on your own server
  • You control accounts and access
  • History kept as long as you need
  • White-label on your own domain

Self-Hosted vs Cloud Fire Truck Tracking Software

Cloud fire truck tracking software holds public safety records on the vendor's servers, and charges for every apparatus every month. Here is how a self-hosted platform compares.

FAQs

Fire Truck Tracking Software, Common Questions

What is fire truck tracking software?
Fire truck tracking software is software that shows where every apparatus is and keeps a time record of each run. AIQ Connect maps engines, ladder trucks, tankers and command vehicles across every station. It logs station and scene times, tracks engine hours, and books service against them. It runs on your own server, with no monthly fee per apparatus.
Does it connect to our CAD system?
No, and this is the most important thing to be clear about. AIQ Connect is the tracking layer. In the fire service, AVL means GPS joined to a CAD system, a mobile data terminal and a hardened link. That is how dispatch picks the closest unit live. This is not that. Keep using your CAD and alerting systems for calls.
Can it record when a truck left quarters and arrived?
Yes. Draw a boundary around each station and district once, and AIQ Connect logs the crossing times from then on. You get the time a truck left quarters, reached the area, and went back in service. Those records are for the review afterwards, for monthly reports and for planning, not for decisions during a live call.
Does it cover ambulances as well?
Yes, but they have a page of their own. AIQ Connect tracks any emergency vehicle, and many services run both. Ambulance work has different needs, so it is covered in more detail on the ambulance and emergency vehicle page. This page is written for fire apparatus and fire department fleets.
Can it schedule service by engine hours?
Yes. Fire trucks often run while standing still, so distance is a poor guide to wear. AIQ Connect logs engine hours as they happen and books service against them, with a warning before a job falls due. What a truck can report depends on the device fitted, so we check your truck list first.
Is there a monthly fee for each apparatus?
No. AIQ Connect is a one-time license, so staff cars and command vehicles cost nothing extra to include alongside the apparatus. It also runs on your own server, which means run records and station data stay inside the service rather than with a cloud vendor. The platform is white-label and carries your own branding.
